New Year’s Thanksgiving Prayer

New Year's Thanksgiving Prayer

Heavenly Father,

As we stand at the close of one year and the brink of a new one, we come before You with hearts full of love and gratitude. We thank You sincerely for the countless blessings and graces You have generously bestowed upon us over the past year.

We acknowledge the many gifts we have received from Your boundless goodness, supporting both our spiritual and material needs. Yet, we also recognize that we have often fallen short in our response to Your love. We have sinned against Your fatherly care, straying from Your path like wayward children and ignoring Your call to repentance and renewal. We have been swayed by worldly temptations and the desires of the flesh, forgetting the true dignity of our Christian calling.

We implore You to grant peace and justice to a world fractured by conflict, vengeance, and injustice. Inspire all people to love one another as members of a single family, recognizing that we are all united by the redemptive blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and destined for the same eternal happiness.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Mother of God, be a mother to me!
